Ok, so I haven't been on NG in a while, and I decided to see what was up in the audio setion after I was done with a few other things. I can't believe it! The creatorsofthe flash game are still up and running. Its a sad thing though, these appeals. They should be famous! I listened to the high ranking classics first, and combined with yours, these are some of the most inspiring, head bouncing works of art created. I'm sure you'll be up there in the classics soon enough. By now I have a feeling, that, past hard and confusing times, better than any other medicine is that of music. It is powerful enough to re-open memories, create passion, joy, laughter, and most of all...freedom. Of the world around you, whether you're rich, poor, or in-be-tween.

SKILLZmakeKILLZ responds:

wow, that means alot, thank you so much! I'm glad my music can evoke these feelings, because thats mostly why i make them!

I don't think Skyrim will ever be out of style, because Skyrim is the very defenition of a generation of adventurers, who longed for excitement and the engaging storyline of the Elder Scrolls series. No one will remember traveling across the Frozen Tundra, The Fatherland, and one of the most advantage-taken games of our time like Skyrim. Very nice song, and creative feel. We need more music from you...but should I say this?...longer (:

Aha, very interesting review, as it was on more of the description :p, and I actually ment the covering of this song out of fashion not the game itself >.<. Above all thanks for a great Review and high rating! :D

Veyr madness combatish!!

Amazing Work! I was reading your comment on the interview and this is the first time I've heard one of your songs. It sounds pretty cool. I have a few questions. Do you know waterflame? He shares the style of guys like you and Maestro Rage and was in the game age of war and stick war. Anyways, I was wondering if all your guy's music is electronic on a program or do you record it your selves?

NickPerrin responds:

Thanks for the review!
Yup I've heard Waterflame before. But in my opinion, his style, MaestroRage's, and my own are all quite different from each other.
Our music (and I can probably speak for the others but you might ask them to be sure) is usually a mix of virtual instruments and real recorded instruments. When it comes to orchestral mockups like this one though, the track is almost always 100% virtual instruments. Would be nice if I could afford to record a real orchestra every time instead :)
Cheers!

Wow! This sounds remarkably like skyrim. Very nice work.(If this makes any sense)-I bet you used to be a review writer like me, then you started making music with your knee. Nice work!

Bosa responds:

Unfortunately I broke the arrow and had to amputate my leg. The motivation and passion I found afterwards -- trying to achieve the unachievable -- is what inspired me to make music.

Awesome work, is this your first song, or have you made more? Overall this song is very cool but I think there are a few improvements to be made. For one, I think the drums should've been a little louder and I think you should've added a little more variety to the melody and drums. One more thing, if you make a song too long, it will wear out the epic effect, but the ending was one of my favorite parts. Like I said, this is an epic song as it is- just giving some hopefully helpul advice. Nice Job!

EagleGuard responds:

Haha, thanks for your response! Unfortunately, this is not my first song, and I have been composing for quite some time now. That said, I'm always looking for ways to improve my music, and feedback such as yours is always much appreciated :) I'm afraid there's still a lot to learn...

Anyway, I pretty much agree on everything you said, and I'll make sure to implement that information in future songs.

Glad you liked it, and thanks for the review!

Very Nice!!Something about it reminded me of mgs2

Wow this is really amazing! There's rarely any work with the same adventurous feel on Newgrounds. I really think this is extremely similar to shadow of the colossus(in my oppinion, the best ps2 game ever) You need to continue making unique music like this. My suggestion, unless you intend to make your next song a video game theme, don't wear it out by making it so long. Over all nice work, and the hard work is appreciated in making this song! By the way, do you like shadow of the colosus? have you ever played it? Nice job! You deserve these 5

CornixEtCorax responds:

Thanks for the review! And yes! I played Shadow Of The Colossus. It's just an awesome, unique game! :)

I wouldn't have believed this was your first song if I hadn't read it. This is really awesome! You need to keep on making songs. Have you ever made any other music before?

Waterflame responds:

oh its just my first attempt at dubstep :) ive made music for 8 years, just in other genres ^^

Wow nice job!

Happy New year! Although I guess it couldve been a little longer- even so, epic song

5/5!
10/10!

Kr1z responds:

Ofcourse it should be longer :)
The description (and title) explains this is a cut, a preview.

The full track is available on bandcamp (and iTunes soon).

Thanks for the review =D
